Intel core i7-2600k price gaming processor
The numerous owners of this superb processor should feel in no hurry to upgrade as it's still one of the fastest consumer processors, even by today's standards. That said new buyers will find both better energy efficiency and marginal performance improvements elsewhere.
The number of benchmark samples for this model as a percentage of all 49,, CPUs tested. Welcome to our freeware PC speed test tool. UserBenchmark will test your PC and compare the results to other users with the same components. You can quickly size up your PC, identify hardware problems and explore the best upgrades. We calculate effective speed which measures real world performance for typical users.
Effective speed is adjusted by current prices to yield a value for money rating. Our calculated values are checked against thousands of individual user ratings. The customizable table below combines these factors to bring you the definitive list of top CPUs.
Been using this cpu since and it's still running strong overclocked to 4. I use it in my main everyday PC and do some gaming on it. When I really want to game for awhile I go to my man cave and use my K set up with triple monitors. I just bought a GPU to add to my Gaming set up which should hold me over for awhile longer. If you find one cheep and are considering using a K in a build in I would say go for it. Still out here rockin' the k in with very few issues.
Sure, it could be a little faster sometimes. Still amazing that it's nearly 10 years old and still competes with some mid-range processors. Not upgrading till it dies, or is unusable with newer applications, probably. Happy 10th birthday for mine and still handles everything without a problem. Simply the best. Bought K Still miss my K.
For its time it performed amazingly. Probably my most stable intel cpu ever. I'll keep mine at least until the Q1' when Coffee Lake is launched unless Kaby Lake shows a shocking performance. I still use iK. It's , and this five year old CPU is still among the fastest by today's standards.
Factor in some overclocking, and this chip can hold its own against the latest generation with no problems. As far as drawbacks go, the lack of PCIe 3.
Excelent CPU that gave their owners solid gaming performance for years. Still usable but it's time to upgrade. No need to overclock it, with stock settings the frequency drops to 1. Pros: Blisteringly fast. Cons: Can get hot when OC'd. Easy stock overclock to 4.
Pros: Cant believe how fast it runs. Cons: Gets very hot beyond 4. My school has a computer with one of these and an r9 nano? Nearly as fast as my own personal gaming PC. Now I use stable 4,6Ghz 1. You had seen that Nehalem, and that the Core i was a handy overclocker and kicking some butt. It was a pleasant time, until Intel went and gave the industry a truly disruptive product whose nostalgia still rings with us today. That product was Sandy Bridge. AnandTech scored the exclusive on the review, and the results were almost impossible to believe, for many reasons. In our results at the time, it was by far and above a leap ahead of anything else we had seen, especially given the thermal monstrosities that Pentium 4 had produced several years previous.
Intel managed to stand on the shoulders of its previous best product and score a Grand Slam. In that core design, Intel shook things up considerably. One key proponent was the micro-op cache, which means that recently decoded instructions that are needed again are taken already decoded, rather than wasting power being decoded again.
For Intel with Sandy Bridge, and more recently with AMD on Ryzen, the inclusion of the micro-op cache has done wonders for single threaded performance. All Core i7 processors have Intel Turbo Boost Core Boost technology combines optimized power circuit Turbo USB 3.
